Happiness is a key ingredient to success in work and business. Today there is even a class being taught on the subject of Happiness at Stanford University which has a waiting list of students wanting to get in.
Alexander Kjerulf (AKA: The Chief Happiness Officer) writes that the productivity gurus out there will tell you that it’s all about having the right system. You need to prioritize your tasks, you must keep detailed logs of how you spend your time, to do-lists are of course essential, you must learn to structure your calendar and much, much more. However, Kjerulf believes that no system, tool or methodology in the world can beat the productivity boost you get, if you want to get more done at work, then being happy. Kjerulf goes on to say in his post that the most important thing is that you start by liking what you do. http://positivesharing.com/
The key question to ask is “am I happy with what I do and how I do it?” If the answer is no, then ask yourself what needs to change. Look around and ask yourself what are the steps you can begin to take to become happy with what you do. Then start taking the steps to make it happen.
